FRIENDS OF THOMAS/GREENE PARK Board Bios:

Mac Premo: Invisible Dog Gallery
b. 1973; American stuffmaker; commercial director; graduate of the RISD, BFA; proud NYFA fellow. mac's art has exhibited in NYC, LA, Washington DC, Miami and PS1 MOMA in Queens, and he has initiated and participated in several public art projects in Belfast, Northern Ireland; his fine art sculptural and collage work is represented by Pavel Zoubok Gallery in New York City. mac  has won 7 New York Emmy® Awards for his video and animation work, including awards for best commercial, photography, set design and best public service announcement. Using objects collected over the past 20 years as the raw material, mac recently completed a collage environment inside a 30 yard dumpster. It is called The Dumpster Project (
www.thedumpsterproject.com). He currently makes art and video and illustration and wooden things and noises and dinner, most nights. mac lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two totally radical daughters. Please visit www.macpremo.com
Charlene Nimmons
Public Housing Communities, Inc (Executive Director/Manager of Marketing) is the Researcher, Developer, Director and Coordinator of the projects, programs and activities of PHC. Charlene has been responsible in leading PHC into negotiations with FCRC, NYCHA, City Council, Resident Associations, NYC Board of Education, Healthcare providers and other organizations. As President of Wyckoff Gardens Associations Inc., for the past (10) years, she was able to raise over 1 Million dollars for capital projects from City Council Funding. Further she is Vice Chair of Brooklyn West Council of Presidents June 2007 – Present (6 years) and was a Child and Educational Associate for New York City Board of Education January 1998 – January 2002 (4 years 1 month), Assistant Teacher at Nevins Daycare Center 1994 – 1998 (4 years) and received her AAS, in Human Services 1994 at New York City College of Technology.
Teddie Vietor
Teddie became a patron of Thomas Greene Park more than six years ago. She frequented the Douglas-Degraw pool and Park playground with her granddaughters during summer. In addition, they enjoyed the Park playground while granddaughters attended Rivendale School on 3rd Avenue. Teddie as been a Friends of Thomas Greene Park member for one year. Teddie is a Volunteer, P.S. 10, Brooklyn
Donald Vietor
Don on joined the Park board approximately one year ago. His primary interest is improvement of soil and plant health in the Park.

Sabine Aronowsky

Sabine was born and raised in Park Slope, and her stepfather and mother live in Gowanus and have had a stained glass studio business in the neighborhood for over 30 years. Sabine is now the proud mother of a 5th generation Brooklynite baby girl who enjoys the playground and pool   tremendously. Sabine graduated with a Master in Public Administration, Specialization in Nonprofit Management, from Baruch CUNY in 2012 and was the recipient of the Kalina P. Bichova MPA Award for highest GPA in the Nonprofit Administration program. While at Baruch she also received the Susan Ponce de Leon Scholarship for commitment to affordable housing & community development.
Sabine is a community activist and videographer who produces original content, independent media and television shows for Freddy’s Brooklyn Roundhouse (FBR). Sabine has served on the EPA CAG (Community Advisory Group) as an at-large member since its inception when the Gowanus Canal became listed as a Superfund site and now represents Friends of Douglass Greene Park (FODGP) in this group.  She recently began employment with the Fifth Avenue Committee (FAC), a nonprofit community development corporation that is also involved with community development throughout South Brooklyn.

Alexandra Dadourian lives in Boerum Hill Brooklyn with her husband and their 2 young daughters.  She is a proud member of the FoDGP.
Mike Addesso, Owner & General Manager, School of Rock Brooklyn
Drummer, has played and toured with bands on labels like Warner Brothers and Vice. Worked as an instructor at a School of Rock in NJ for 4 years before opening the Brooklyn location. Studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston

Co-founder SERENE Social, a wellness, philanthropy and conscious networking community for women and CoCre, a 501(c)3 status pending organization that connects problems to resources that can help solve them. Previously - created and ran LuxuryFashion.com for a decade (currently dormant); Executive Director of ZINK Magazine (fashion/beauty/travel); Created, launched and sold BULLETT, a magazine and media platform for lifestyle, fashion and entertainment. 

Geneen McCauley
Geneen joined Friends of Douglas Greene Park in January 2014.  Prior to joining the board she worked at a local nonprofit providing outreach and fundraising strategies.  With over 7 years of nonprofit fundraising experience she lends her expertise in event planning and fundraising to the groups continued efforts.  In addition to her nonprofit work Geneen has volunteered at numerous community nonprofit organization such as Big Brother Big Sister, YMCA – Harlem, and NYPL to name a few.  She is a fan of all things New York and sees herself as a community builder at heart.
